For the next 16 months a group of 12 students will undertake the challange of preparing for a 4 week expedition to Greenland in the summer of 2010.
Chelmsford County High School is working with Bull Precision Expeditions (BPE) to create an expedition consisting of a 7 day trek, scientific research, community service and ending with a few days of much needed, rest and relaxation (R&R) to allow us to experience Greenland and Iceland's cultured activities.
Our group consists of:
Sophie Stanger
Charlotte Cardus
Emma Stratford
Fiona Tomczynska
Isha Patel
Yam Jayasuriya
Emily Barritt
Millie Hannah
Chloe Austin
Alice Montrose
Laura Hynard
Nicole Rainey
Mr Turrell - Geography teacher
Miss Cope - Latin teacher
Dave Atherton - BPE instructor
The preparation phase will be vital as we need to raise an estimate of £4000 each which includes costs of the expedition, travel, training weekends and equipment. We have already started brainstorming ideas for fundraising and are allowed to do individual events along with groups events.
We hope you enjoy looking at our website, dedicated to letting you know any events we are holding or visiting, any related photos which show how much fun we are having being part of this venture and contact details if you want to know more.
All the best,
Team Too Cat!
